George Wasinsky was my Father and our company "Calls By George." My Father passed away October 10th, 2019. My name is George S. Wasinsky Jr. and I grew up manufacturing calls for Turkey hunting with my Father. It was a blessing to be raised in the great outdoor world of hunting & fishing. My Father loved all types of hunting & fishing sports. For fishing his passion became trout and salmon fishing. For hunting he loved Whitetail Deer hunting but his true passion was Wild Turkey hunting. He believed strongly in stewardship of our outdoor world and getting as many new or young people involved with our sporting activities as possible. He worked hard building some of the first prototype game calls for turkey hunting and then taking them to full production. He manufactured game calls to help others enjoy our sport driving success in the woods & fields. He developed the first "Locator Owl Hooter" in the USA to be used for Wild Turkey hunting. He also coined the "Who Cooks For You, Who Cooks for You All" cadence that our whole industry uses today. We all affectionately called my Father Pa. Pa was a pioneer for the wild turkey hunting growth across the country helping establish stocking programs with state management such as the DEC in NYS. Pa was a lifetime member in the: NRA, NWTF, SCI and RMEF. I learned much about the outdoors from Pa as well as the trade of game call manufacturing. Pa would say to all the hunters today: "Good luck, Shoot Straight, and Be Safe,"
