Call Maker - Monty Lynch
Description
Monty lynch sold duck and goose calls around the Midwest and southern states in 1978 and 1979. At that time he traveled the country doing sporting event shows with his dog, Duke the wonder dog. Most of the calls were sold by Fleet Farm stores, TG&Y stores and Magic Mart stores. Approximately 4,000 calls were sold through these retailers. The calls sold for $6.95 for the basic duck and goose calls. The more deluxe calls “larger and blue in color” sold for $8.95. Monty Lynch designed these calls to his liking but they were all manufactured by the Cajun call company in Lake Charles La.
The packaging for the Monty lynch calls had a drawing of a Mallard duck on the duck calls package. The goose call packages had a drawing of a Canada goose. The drawings were sketched by Monty’s long time hunting and fishing friend and renowned wildlife artist M Wayne Willis.
